If you’re visiting Koh Tao and looking for something unique to do especially if you want to see the island in a different way I highly recommend the Treasure Island Challenge. An escape room across the island solving clues as we drove, trekked and snorkelled to find the treasure. Lots of local food included, as well as time to chill on beaches and check out amazing views. A really fun way to see Koh Tao, learn some of the history of the island, do some snorkelling and get both brain and body active! MUST DO! Treasure Hunt Island in Koh Tao was honestly one of the best things I did during my trip! It’s like an escape room that spans the whole island. You spend 5-6 hours solving puzzles and finding clues that lead you from one amazing spot to another - stunning viewpoints, hidden beaches, and some of the best snorkeling spots I’ve seen (if you're in Koh Tao you'll probably do it separately in a less fun way).The whole experience is super well-organized and even has locals joining in to make it more fun and immersive. It’s perfect for young travelers or small groups looking for something totally unique and exciting. Visiting beautiful beaches, some good snorkelling and a very tasty lunch by the beach. Great value as it includes snacks and drinks throughout the day, lunch and a cocktail to finish, plus the all important tour of the island. Aimmy our guide was abslutley amazing. Highly recommend for those only here for a few days and unable to hire scooters to get around. Note: The climb to the first look out is a challenge that some may struggle with. It was fun to solve the puzzles together, but also a really great way to see the island. There were a real range of destinations: from snorkelling to dramatic viewpoints and idyllic coves. We really can't recommend this tour enough!We took part in this tour as a group of 5 friends in our mid-20s and it was one of the highlights of our time in Thailand. Originally I booked this tour as there honestly aren't many ways to get around Koh Tao if you don't want to rent a moped. However, the calibre of the tour really blew us away and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.While you can be in a group of up to 12, we were the only participants on our day. While we expected some simple puzzles geared towards families, the puzzles were genuinely challenging and very creative - we ended up needing hints and really enjoyed trying to figure them all out! We also loved how people throughout the island were in on the secrets of the tour - I won't spoil the adventure as the surprises were part of what made it amazing, but I will say that this is so much more than just a tour of the island. There was so much food and drink included that the day felt like amazing value. We had hiking to a viewpoint, snorkelling stops, a beach-front lunch and so much more. Aimmy was an amazing guide and knew exactly when we were feeling stumped by the puzzles. Me and my partner Jemma did this a few days ago and it was easily one of our favourite days of our months long trip! The organisation was great, the challenges were in engaging and fun, the food was brilliant and the places we went were just beautiful! Andy was a great host as well, super friendly and chatty. We had a brilliant day and can't recommend it enough, easy 5 star review from us. It is primarily a tour of the island but with some little games involved, we did some really great snorkelling seeing loads of amazing marine life, as well as going to a great view point and checking out some lesser known bays of Ko Tao.
